Three of the habituated gorilla groups in Bwindi National Park are tracked
from Buhoma, where mid and upper class accommodation is available. These
are the permits that are sold out first, as this is the traditional area
of Bwindi where gorilla tracking has taken place for years.
As early as 2 years ago a 4th habituated group (Nkuringo) nearby Kisoro
Town were added to the tour options. When the permits for Buhoma are sold
out, there may be some available for Nkuringo, however trekking here is
more demanding and only mid class accommodation is available.
